Gen II was the peak of legendaries. All of them had good lore that wasn't repetitive

I also love the popular headcanon that they are resurrected eeveelutions
and always wished for Psychic and Dark counterparts

On topic: this trio is the GOAT. When I was a kid I loved Entei, then I loved Suicune, now I love Raikou. All three are so well designed and useful enough in game and in competitive without being retarded ubers-tier shit.

Suicune is still my bae for Battle Tower-type stuff. The others are great too but Entei took a while to git gud.

Also their designs are still quite nice and hold up well.
