It's like trying to picture a dog standing up. Yeah, it's possible, but it'll look awkward unless you reconfigure the limbs so they actually fit.
If Samurott had smaller back legs like swampert, then it would be easy to picture gorilla style. If it had smaller front legs, it'd be easy to picture sort of squatting or rearing up.
Just look at some of the artwork and how the length of the limbs and position of shoulders gets shuffled around to try and show what it's actually supposed to do.
Regardless of whether it's a good concept, the execution is just bad.
