Venusaur just gets bigger. Blastoise kind of just gets bigger. Gen 2 starters especially just get bigger. Yet they're all fan favorites.
Most people prefer having a solid design and a mediocre concept over a solid concept and a mediocre design. If Ivysaur was turned into a squirrel, I would still like Venusaur. Why does the context of the evolutionary line matter?
People didn't want a human-like creature that's only a cat by technicality but attempts to make up for it by being oh-so-creative, they wanted a cat-like creature.
I'm just glad I stuck with Popplio. Poor, poor Littenfriends. I'm happy for the people that do like Luchalitten, but they aren't the majority.
