They took a feature and exaggerated it because 1) it fits the flavor of the pokemon (blasting fire all over the place) and 2)it makes it more fun because it's a fictional JRPG monster catching game, not a real-world wildlife catalog.

/vp/ really needs to into character design. I don't understand how some of you people claim to like pokemon, and then get mad when a pokemon isn't just a copy-paste of its real-world inspiration. Equally as bad are people who get mad when a pokemon is "too much" like a real life animal
