Sassy nature because Lapras isn't going to be oustpeeding anything and might as well boost Ice Shard's damage. With that special defense investment and assault vest you will be tanking even the strongest hits. Freeze Dry is the main reason to use Lapras over most Ice types or even Water types. It is goddamn amazing. Hard counters Ludicolo and Kingdra in particular, who are considered staples in Rain teams. Hydro Pump vs Surf = Power vs Accuracy argument, although in doubles you must consider hitting your teammate with Surf too.
Sheer Cold. It can upset games. Literally the comeback button. Press it if you have no chance of winning other than landing a Sheer Cold. 30% of winning vs 0% of winning is huge. Stole it from nuggetbridge from some crazy nigga who knows what he's doing.
Unfortunately, Rain teams are more on the uncommon side now and the best teams in VGC are good stuffs that can function in Trick Room and Tailwind with speed control.
