I was also thinking about a UB spinoff. It seems like they've been moving further away from serious Pokemon battling in some ways, but UB are apparently more dangerous and from another dimension.

To me, this is not a good change, but hell, i lost any faith on having closure on the anime ever since the bullshit that has came from Advance Generation. The fact that it took these much seasons to people to undesrtand is what i can't even fathom.
