>>28482634Playing a Randomized LG Nuzlocke (my first Nuzlocke btw). My only Pokemon a the time were Trapinch, Lombre, Houndoom, and a freshly caught Tentacool (my Exxegcute starter died earlier on).
3rd encounter with rival on Route 4. Laugh as his first pokemon are a Weedle and Beedrill, shit bricks as his next is a Salamence. Trapinch does commendable damage, but is nearly OHKOd by Salamence's Headbutt. After much consideration, switch Houndoom in. Gets OHKOd by a Critical Headbutt.
Thinking this is the end, I send out my last hope in Lombre. First turn Fake Out barely does anything, but it then gets a Crit Swift that finishes the Salamence off. Said Lombre proceeds to become my ace until I later get Snorlax and a Psuedo, but still stays on the team as a valuable member, and makes it all the way to the end.
