I think I'm starting to like Gen 6.

Now that there's sufficient distance between then and now and everyone's talking about SM, I look back on Gen 6 and think it really wasn't as bad as everyone made it out to be, maybe even good.

Is this a trend? In 2 years time, when SM are firmly 'out' will we have as many threads arguing about Gen 6 being the 'worst' or 'best' as we do now about Gen 5?

I think ORAS will be remembered well when it's not the newest game anymore. It lacks endgame, but as a game to just replay it is a lot of fun, things like Amie will probably stand the test of time as well.

gen 6 actually had the highest replayability to me, it's the only one I've reset more than 10 times in order just to go through it again. I don't think it's that bad, I think the story is a bit lacking and the number of new mons, but otherwise I like the feel of the game

I love the megas but hate how they were integrated in the main storyline. I love the new exp. share but hate that it's given you so early. And I could go on. XY was OK for a first game in a generation but has many plot holes and no postgame which a third version would have been able to fix. Sadly its left as it is. Hopefully SM will explain a few things like Zygarde but we're definitely not going back to Kalos.
