So, I have a story from when I was in second or third grade; I need to give a little bit of background about me and my small group of friends. We would play pretend and pretend to battle or even be Pokemon during recess.
So, Pokemon 4Ever had just come out, and I was the only person in my little group to see the movie. For whatever reason, during recess, I made my friends sit down while I told them what happened in the movie. Maybe they wanted to know? I don't really remember. But so they were sitting criss-cross in front of me, and I was standing telling them about the movie- and this girl in my friend group, her name was Wendy, she gets up and says she just wants to play. And I'm like, "Oh, okay, I can always tell you about the movie later."
So we start getting our imagination play time ready, telling eachother which Pokemon we are going to be before we begin- Wendy wants to be Celebi. And I'm like, "Oh, I want to be Celebi too!" Wendy smugly replies to me, "It's a legendary so only I can be Celebi." And I tell her, "Actually, there's more than one. In the movie-" But she gets really upset and cuts me off and starts yelling at me as I try to explain to her that there was more than one of them in the movie, but she refuses to believe me. And I sure as hell wasn't letting her just be stubborn and not be the Pokemon I wanted to be since I had seen with my own little eyes in that movie that there was at least a dozen Celebi.
So Wendy goes and gets a Yard Duty (basically adult supervisors during recess) and complains to them. I followed Wendy and tried to explain to the Yard Duty what was going on, but Wendy was so frantic and dramatic that I couldn't get a word in, but not that I thought it really mattered because Wendy was basically sobbing through her words, and I couldn't comprehend what she was saying.
