They could be something entirely new, they could be pokemon from some entirely different dimension, we don't know. Why don't we know? Because they didn't tell us. And can you guess that's what made all of us do?
Anticipate the game even more so we can get an answer to the mystery dangling in front of our faces. I know I personally want the games even more now because I really want to see what the Ultra Beasts actually are. They've hooked me with a PLOT element. An element that, frankly, Pokemon has always been rather shitty with. An element that never hyped me for prior generations. But I certainly am now.
I'm not saying they're trying to trick us, I'm saying they promoting a story and get people to see it.
