the real life Hawaiian islands have both a very strict importation policy and big invasive species problem.

This include things like snake, vine based plants and wasps.

true, but even though they're invasive they are pretty well established.

Heres something interesting, perhaps noting that the developers are paying attention to this. Mongoose were brought in to the island to deal with the growing rat problem, ironically they are day hunters while rats are night hunters.

In one of the trailers we see the difference between the two games with the Boss battles, Suns boss is a Yungoos and moons is a Alola Raticate
