>>28540854You're on the right track, but I'd love to see something similar to the Chao garden from Sonic Adventure, but amped up. Let you create a bunch of pokemon habitats that you can build/customize yourself, like a beach habitat, a snowy meadow or a volcano crater, with certain pokemon types being happier in certain environments or with specific buildings/decorations/items present.
You start off with a partner pokemon, build your first habitat, then you go out exploring "adventure" areas to find and befriend new pokemon to come live in your habitat. Certain mons will open new areas with abilities like Surf, Cut, Rock Smash, etc. and allow you to find even rarer pokemon in the later areas, or unlock legendary mons by searching for clues to solve puzzles in ancient ruins around the area.
You raise them, keep them happy, play with them, and then you can enter them in events like contests/beauty pageants/musicals, or mini-games ala Mario Party where you can earn ribbons for them.
Basically a giant, glorified pokemon rancher game where you can collect and raise your favorites and play games with them instead of just battling, and then sit around and play with them in your comfy, custom habitats.
