Surf has become standard on the Lati twins, but what is it supposed to hit that Earthquake does not?
The common Pokémon that resist dual STAB are: Excadrill, TTar, Heatran, Ferrothorn, Metagross. Excadrill has lower Def than SpD and if it's in Sand even more so, Tyranitar also gets the SpD boost in Sand, Heatran is 4x weak to Ground, Metagross takes more damage from Ground than Water. Ferrothorn won't take much from EQ but it'll take more than from Surf.
Pokémon that can come in on Lati twins like Clefable, AV Tornadus-T, Gardevoir, Sylveon all take more from Psyshock or in Gardevoir's case, EQ.
Am I missing something? Why is Surf becoming standard?
