I'd like it if they went to another continent. We could have the middle east + egypt (because everyone associates them together anyway,) we could have a couple south american countries (Argentina + Chile would be perfect imo,) we could go to Russia, we could go to Australia, we could go to the phillipines. There are a lot of cool options that they might just be glossing over...

That said, I'd be happy with Italy.

I wouldn't mind New Zealand. Frankly I'm not too keen on the idea of a Italy region though. Seems too close to Kalos, at least for the moment.

Seems unlikely. I feel like one of the main reasons we've gotten New York, France and Hawaii regions is because the average Japanese person has a fairly decent grasp of their cultures (or so they think), whereas I'm pretty sure the same can't really be said of Italy. I'd bet we get regions based on the UK and (some part of) China first at the very least.
