As for PCs, it's just as likely they are treated like digimon, and have a 'virtual' home to live in, rather than being in a constant 'coma' state, since they can be turned into data it's very possible to imagine they can still exist within a digitized world, after all, Porygon is a living program, showing that in the universe of Pokemon, data and flesh can be interchangeable
