>>28571365There are lots of types that have multiple themes.
Normal:
-Regular-ass mammals (most Normal types)
-Regular-ass birds (when combined with Flying)
-Uncategorized (Porygon, Arceus, Smeargle, Type: Null, Ditto)
-Voice (Jigglypuff, Meloetta, Exploud, Boomburst, Hyper Voice)
-Rubbery? (Blissey, Jigglypuff, Lickilicky, Audino)
Most times Normal can indicate mammal, but then you get stuff like Helioptile that doesn't really fit anything else except maybe Dunsparce, which is also weird.
Flying:
-Regular-ass birds (when combined with Normal)
-Air control (Tornadus, Rayquaza, Air Slash, Hurricane)
-Wingedness (non-bird Flying types, Wing Attack)
There are Flying types like Pidgeot that are normal-ass birds but also can control air (Hurricane, Air Slash, etc) while ones like Dodrio can only use the bird melee attacks and not the air control. Where is the consistency?
Psychic:
-Intelligence (Metagross, Alakazam)
-Magic (Delphox)
-ESP (most Psychic types)
-Moon (Lunala, Cresselia, Lunatone)
-Alien (Deoxys, Beheeyem)
-Premonition (Jirachi, Xatu)
-Ceremony (Chimecho, Bronzong)
Seems unfocused if you look at it that way.
Why do people scrutinize Fairy over all other types? Other types having multiple different facets has never been a problem before, so why is it now with Fairy?
Fairy has:
-Nature/Homeopathy (Geomancy, Xerneas, Florges, Comfey, Flower Shield)
-Aroma (Slurpuff, Aromatisse, Aromatic Mist)
-Feelings (Sylveon)
-Moon (Clefairy, Moonblast, Wigglytuff, Azumarill)
-Playfulness (Dedenne, Cottonee, Mawile, Klefki)
-Light (Light of Ruin, Dedenne, Dazzling Gleam)
I don't understand how this is a problem for anyone.
