4chanx or other extensions like appchanx will mark a new IP every time 4chan indicates that the IP count has increased.
The first post was made by OP (IP number 1) and the second post was made by me (IP number 2).
Since post 3 doesn't agree with post 1, post 2 must be made by me (IP number 2).
As post 4 is made by a new IP (IP number 3) posts 2, 3 and 4 are made by the same person.
You can see how IP count (as well as the 1 minute post timer) is the basis for many samefagging accusations, rebuttals and accusations of newness.
