>>28585159I would guess new type, because it's easier to balance a new type than to work around possible 8x weaknesses and resists. (assuming resistances are multiplicative, not additive, no idea how the math works)
Could also be 5 move slots, which maybe z-moves are alluding to. Gen 5 remakes, develop new technology that allows pokemon to learn 5 moves.
