He doesn't have any good coverage moves and Poison/Bug is a pretty shitty STAB combination. There's too much shit in OU that outright walls him unfortunately, and the overabundance of priority users, particularly Pinsir, Scizor, and bravest bird don't do him any favors. He does have a niche with having one of if not the strongest U-Turns in the entire game though, although he might not get to use it as often as he'd like because of the aforementioned priority moves. This applies to Battle Spot as well, except now he has to deal with Megamence and Primal Groudon too.
He's lots of fun in UU though.
