To expound a bit more on what anon was saying, it's sky high attack mixed with it's great type coverage and ability to boost it made it really threatening on it's own, but Sucker Punch really sealed the deal. It's slow, which would be it's main natural exploit, but it's ability to come out and straight up KO shit that even resisted Sucker Punch really made it dominant as hell. I'm not sure I entirely agreed with it's ban either, but it's not the most insane thing they've ever done. Mawile could run train on both defensive and offensive teams, and was really just unrivaled in it's strength at multiple offensive positions all at once.
