>In order to escape from the plethora of Ice-types roaming the area, Alolan Haxorus retreated into many of Alola's cave systems. In order to compete with the local Rock and Steel-types, the tusks on Haxorus' head dulled and eventually became heavy blunt objects for delivering powerful strikes. They also developed longer arms to deliver similarly devastating blows to opposing Rock and Steel-types. From there, they developed a pack mentality and became more social creatures, often holding contests in order to determine the strongest of the group. Through this, they developed an unique fighting style that incorporates grappling and striking.
