>>28619779>>28619851A rare SpD-invested Ferrothorn can even survive weak fire moves (think Hidden Power, Incinerate, etc.) coming from pokemon that use them as coverage and don't get STAB. That's how good it is.
However that is very situational. You're pretty well with just making it a physical wall. Leech seed hits all but grass types, rocky helmet and iron barbs punish physical attackers and gyro ball dents everything fast enough.
Other tanky mons that I know of:
>SkarmoryAn adamant Hoopa Unbound at +6 attack can't OHKO a fully physically defensive skarmory with drain punch. It also gets roost.
>AmoongussYou'd think it can't possibly be THAT bulky for a grass/poison, but that mistake made me lose against it a lot. It can take hits and regenerator doesn't make it easier for anybody but itself.
>MandibuzzA fully physically defensive mandibuzz can take anything a M-metagross throughs at it, roost, and eventually kill with foul play. Even ice punch is a 3HKO at best. Plus, dark/flying is a rare type to think about defensively, so there's a bunch of teams out there that don't have much for it outside of an ice beamer and rocks.
>Eviolite dusclopsW-o-w for burns, pain split makes its poor HP useful, destiny bond when the end is near and hex just to avoid being taunt bait. It can be a very useful support, plus ghost type prevents rapid spin. A shame it doesn't have levitate.
