>>28630894Are you for real? Going by story, it's extremely by the books, you can really predict everything that's going to happen, and with the box legendaries you just know what the climax is all about (guessed right, the box legends). You know that you're going to encounter the evil team at certain points, and that the climax comes around the seventh or the eigth badge. When everything is predictable, it's hardly an improvement. It's just more of the same.
The aesthetics, especially in ORAS, looks all sorts of wrong. The square design of Hoenn is a total waste of a remake, where they decided to not actually remake anything, but just rehash it. This is also the generation that made framedrops occur in a very large share of battles, and has (at least in my and many others opinon), a very unattractive use of colors on the models.
You can't be serious about the character development, N alone has more than the entire cast of XY (and that's saying something, as predictable as N's development is). This is the game that has a guy dancing, but with some of the worst dancing pokémon I've ever seen. He's supposed to go for the best dancing team?
World building is one thing I'm willing to actually somewhat concede, but they fucked up in many areas nonetheless. It's hard to take the world building in areas like Sea Mauville seriously when something as terrible as the Delta Episode is in the same game.
The music is notreally improved in any way, and the overall sound design (like the new cries) leaves a lot to be desired.
There are no more side quests in gen VI than previous generations, unless you have an odd definition of side quests.
>>28630971What annoyed me a lot was that they didn't even bother to reskin the maison into a tower to reflect the originals. Fucking lazy.
>>28630982Good for you I guess. That doesn't mean every complaint about the game is about the frontier. The games would still be bad (but at least somewhat better) with the frontier.
