Anyone ever think about the "descriptions" pokémon have?

For example, why is Crawdaunt the Rogue Pokémon?

Why is Spheal the Clap Pokémon?

I don't even know why those exist anymore. It makes no sense most of the time and it's never served any purpose.
What they should do is replace the "Species name" from the dex with one of the egg groups (it would require renaming most of them to avoid confusion). It's been years since breeding was introduced and we still don't have an ingame way to see which Pokemon can breed without trial and error in a game with over 700 distinct creatures

I never understood the Snorunt -> Glalie evolution. I feel like it's kind of random. Also Glalie is ugly to me. So is mega.

Its based on Mussels, a type of shellfish, which have tubes they use to expel water at high pressure to move around. Blastoise uses the tubes to attack things

Mistranslated, was supposed to be Water Ball, but there wasnt enough room for the full phrase in Japanese and the translation team went against their better judgment and translated the portion of the phrase literally due to executive meddling.
