Anyone who says he only played generation 1 is either: lying or wasn't there when pokemania hit. Everyone I knew at the time was super fucking hyped for gen II and literally creamed their pants when they discovered the game let them go back to kanto.

I have a hard time imagining someone grumping it up at the time and going "b-b-but it's only 151!! BAWWW!!" when pokemon was fucking everything.
