the first one isn't drawn badly, though. His face is in proportion to the model that was created for him, nothing looks weirdly scrunched or arranged weirdly, and his face is still shaped right.

What I've seen of the animation looks solid. The artstyle is just going to take some getting used to. Might be the first time in a while I actually give the anime a look.
