We may end up being forced to change. And frankly, if something flat sounds better, we should use it.
Besides, what happens if we ever mix and match single games from gens? Granted we can type the full name, but some dick could ask "S, S, or SS?" and you would just have to type out the name in the end anyway, where with "Sa, Su, or SS?" is nice and clear.
Just because the naming conventions worked up until now doesn't mean they can't or shouldn't change.
