In XY you could add eyelashes, blush, lipstick, and (I think) eye shadow for the girls in the trainer profile video.

It wouldn't be at all surprising for it to make a full return when we are already confirmed for lipstick

Trainer ages have always been all over the place. The RS protagonists were 13, the RBY protagonist was 11, and the BW trainers were 16.

they've been aging them up for a while. Although Gen VIIs MCs look a little younger than Gen V/VI thats for sure. Maybe its the outfits

Yes. If you check the TVs in ORAS, sometimes a trainer profile for your rival will show up that confirms he/she is 13. The others are mostly from interviews and instruction manuals.

The BW protagonist being an older teenager was confirmed in some pre-release interview where they asked about the older-looking protagonists, but I can't remember if they gave an exact number.

ORAS confirmed they were 12

In fact, Brendan/May(12) and Red/Leaf(11) are the only protags with confirmed ages. Calem/Serena are also confirmed to be 16+, but we don't know their exact ages.

BW/BW2 protagonists are just said to be "older than the previous protags", nothing else, unless you count manga adaptations and such.
