What is the most nitpicky reason you dislike a pokemon, I dislike oranguru because its an orangutan in every country but it doesn't really have any orange

Disliking a design isn't nitpicky, people. Design is at least half the appeal of a Pokemon.

A petty reason is something like disliking Bidoof because it ruins your catches in gen 4 Nuzlockes.

I hate Volcanion because several CoroCoro issues were about it and its fucking movie instead of game info. Also, it is ugly as sin.

At least it only got one movie and it was never mentioned again because 6th gen was ending by the time he was released.

I was really excited when I heard we were getting a coconut crab Pokemon, it's possibly my favorite crustacean. Unfortunately it has a terrible color scheme and everything is so rounded it looks like a knockoff megaman robot master instead of the beautiful spider-tank a coconut crab actually looks like.

I hate camerupt because I ev trained one for the 3rd gen battle tower and it was the shittiest one on the team and continually let me down.

Then I gave it a second chance in 4th gen, hoping maybe I just needed to give it a better spread or something, but nope. It continued to be a piece of shit.

And then it gets a fucking mega. I have no idea if it actually makes it any better since I stopped playing competitive before oras came out.

for real though, that is autistic. I always train Bellsprout in Gold and Silver or HG/SS because if you catch one early you can NPC-trade it for an Onix in Violet City straight away.

plus, Victreebel is a pretty good grass/poison dual type to have. mine was really strong learning leafstorm and solarbeam and I gave it a strong poison move like toxic too.

My autistic reason for disliking it is that it HAD to be psychic type.
They couldn't use the incredible strength or super long arms for a typing.

It wasn't literally 100+ turns. The Bellsprout spent a long time using Growth and Metapod had an Oran Berry(I thought it was cool they could use it on their own so I gave one to every 'mon).

Despite me being a Flygonfag, I can understand your pain. I feel that my kind are just salty that Garchomp was literally a fixed version of Flygon and hated that their bro no longer felt special and unique. This made me wish Flygon was reconnected completely as a special attacker so these comparisons and complaints about Garchomp's existence would seem less justified.

I feel like they could both have their own niches if flygon was base 115 speed.

Flygon could be a speedy mixed attacker offering speed and unpredictability and garchomp could be a physical powerhouse with bulk and survivability.

Pretty much team preview entirely. Before that, U-Turn was so useful as a scouting move it could drag anything with it into OU, and Flygon was the most resistant to stealth rock chip damage. Access to roost, unresisted STAB, and the occassional surprise flamethrower on scarf sets meant that Flygon saw plenty of use.
