As a firefag I disn't really care since I always pick the fire starters and this one was amazing. The ones who complain are probably people who prefer to pick grass/water but felt forced to pick fire because "muh starter type holy trinity" need to be in every team

You are confusing pokemon available in a region with pokemon introduced.

In dp, you either had to pick chimchar or train ponyta

In xy, you could train shitloads of different poison pokemon, even make a monotype run

No there is not. Theres one family added in Kalos, but the dex has a healthy amount of older gen poison types.

No one would have complained about Sinnoh's fire types if there were older gen fire types available.
