1st one is very situational and maybe works on two pokemon (Azumarill and Slurpuff).
2nd and 3rd only in doubles and boosting and hazards aren't that good here.

Yeah but Oranguru can't attack itself that turn and it has to use the attack every turn. It's not that good offensively as encore is.

i'm aware. belly drum fails when you have max attack or are under half health, so instructing to do it a second time does nothing.

70 x 0.3 = 21
30 + 21 = 51%

He was right. It's the same chances for my Poison Touch Toxicroak to poison with Poison Jab.

no, he makes the original user of the move use it again. Did you even watch the trailer? Wishiwashi used surf, oranguru instructed wishiwashi to use surf again. Notice how oranguru's telepathy popped up. Instructing belly drum would just have no effect

The metagame isn't built around switching in and out every other turn unlike singles so yeah, it's generally an inferior choice when everything is killed in one or two hits anyway.

But they are switching out some and not many people are going to be rapid spinning right? If my team is especially fat then it wouldnt be awful. In 4v4 doubles then i could see it being bad but in 6v6 i think it would be okay.
