>>28698289We're talking about people big in the FGC. They all were nerds who labbed their characters for thousands of hours. Some have been in the scene for a decade. It's only recently that the FGC has had a modicum of attention A LA CoD, Halo, League, DotA and the like, so the people are still kind of evolving from the basement-NEET life they're used to and into the spotlight of interacting with fans, even children at this point, and companies actually do pay to make it happen.
It's a very weird thing to have occur, but it does. What a world we live in.
