In the movies there are. The games are the only important part and theres only one Mewtwo in them in canon. You are getting Lati@s gender from the movies, in the game its a glitch because they can't breed but they would be able to if they really had genders

The Eon Ticket encounter was simplified a shitton, Lati@s doesn't go away unless you catch them.
Multiple (livestreamed) sources confirmed that you don't need to SR and that running away and/or making it faint reset the encounter and every bit that goes with that (IVs, nature, etc)
