In terms of genetics, outside of culture, there are two genders. Humans are programmed primarily to mate. There are instances of defects and stuff where a gender anomaly occurs and there are mutations that lead to sexual attractions that are counter-intuitive to the pursuit of reproduction. Which we have culturally accepted and that's fine.
But the current trend of "there are 2 billion genders, please give me special rights" is entirely based in culture. It's a decision made by the person. There's no genetic cause for it.
You are free to do what you want in a culture, but there's no reason to think that your choices should be shoehorned into everyone's lives.
