>Sun and Moon are the start of a new gen
>There are no more third versions
>NX releases next year
>Too early to start a new gen right away
>It makes zero sense to start a new console with a remake
>DP releases next year
>2018 or 2019 a new gen starts, they'll probably take a break in '18

Not going to happen. Gen 4 is my favorite gen altogether, but Gen 1 remakes will happen before Gen 4 ones will.

And Gen 1 remakes will be on NX after Gen 8 which will also be on NX.

Remakes are once per platform, Hoenn wasn't remade on DS because HGSS was.

I figured this might be best place to ask so here you go :

I'm a poorfag who wants to get into the newer gens ( I mostly played gen 2 and 3 ) but i don't know which game is the best to start since i can only afford the console and one game.
Should i get XY for the new story/region or is Omega Ruby just a better game overall ?

I doubt it. Pokemon's main games don't allow for home console play hybrid or otherwise.
I wouldn't be surprised if it were a Colosseum/Stadium type game but made with GF.

Also it was never said to be a launch game.

Chances are he is right. With Pokemon Gos success and everyone right now including adults nostalgic about Pokemon a gen 1 remake thats a free roaming rpg would sell millions. It would sell and carry the Nx alone.

Nintendo is probably riding them about this right now because they need it and gen 1 is their best bet.
