Honestly, I only bought one for my runs in the morning and I am really disappointed. A good portion of the time there is significant lag time on when the device detects a stop so I have to just hang out and wait for PoGo+ to detect it.

The catchrate is the real problem. Literally half the time mons will just break out. I found myself taking my phone out of pocket anyway when it buzzed because I couldn't trust the Plus to actually catch it.

Hopefully they patch the catch rate of it up a bit at some point.

Yeah, the piss poor catch rate is the worst part of this device. I don't know if they didn't want to be accused of it being P2W or what. I hope they nudge it up a bit down the road or allow you to set what ball to use and if you use a better ball, you get get a better catch rate (I think standard - 50%, great - 70%, and ultra - 90% would be fair).

I tore down a level 8 (500 xp shy of level 9) mystic gym because they kicked me out of another one. I saw a 2180 RK9 at the top and figured should be easy af. Didnt see the 4 four lapras sandwiched inside
Took me 20 fucking minutes. Put my vape in, quickly powered it level 5 with enough prestige available from slots to be 7. 30 minutes later its level 7, mostly crapmons after mine (all RK9s are shit cause of vaporeon and all vapes are shit cause of grassmons, excellent prestige boosters and totem pole rankers, after dragonite tho)

An hour later its torn down. I already collected my shekels. Those ppl were tight.

Guys, I need your wisdom.

I'm getting ready to break a lucky egg and mass evolve a bunch of pidgeys, but I also want to evolve some new dex entries, I'm not sure if I should do it now or wait out for better mons. Favorite ones have enough candy for an evolution and the ones with a plus sign on their name are according to Blanche "a wonder and breathtaking, etc.".
What do you guys think I should do?

btw, between poliwhirl and poliwag I have enough candy to evolve one and they´re both a wonder, but there's a giant difference in CP

What lvl are you? As a rule of thumb, you're gonna be cycling out everything every 5 lvls or so. Unless you're already lvl 25, there's no point hoarding candy until you're 30 and wait for those lvl 30s.

Only i dont bot or spoof. None of my friends who spoof have been banned and pogo crunch just lets u list ur pokemon with ivs and movesets and tack the extras and excess shitmons and crunch. Boom room. I use it before every lucky egg so, for eg i have 336 goldeen candies, i save the 6 best.

Or you can do what D does and drop half a grand and in there max out the pokestorage even before ever hitting up a gym and wanting low cp mons for optimal prestige boosting

Don't compare pogo crunch to spoofing. That's a method they actually cannot detect when it's set up properly.

Pogo's problem is not in what it does, but it what it doesn't. It only requests the data about your account and Pokemon from the server, but doesn't send data the normal client would. That makes it known to the server it got accessed by a third party program.

At this point it makes it Niantic's good will whether they'll go after it's users and subsequently allow appeals like they did last time. I mean if you're willing to take that risk, go for it, I don't have anything about people using it, just don't false advertise it as safe.

Then I just hatched one out of a 10k (first time hatching one after 28 10k eggs), followed by an immediate candy find from my buddy, bumping me up to 46. Transfer one Kabuto that's 47. 15km to go.

Only question is do I keep the 707 CP "really strong" Kabuto with perfect Attack or the hatched 585 CP Kabuto that can "battle with the best of them" and has perfect Defense. Decisions.

Where do you live, that you can have that many Pokemon in gyms at once? For me, even with the game's decreased popularity, gyms never last longer than an hour at the very most. Just tonight, I put a ~2000 Gyarados in a gym, and it was out in literally a minute and a half.

In the suburbs of Houston.

My end of town I can't hold a gym worth a shit, Mystic retakes most gymns within the hour. But about 30 minutes away towards the old city center valor rules and has multiple level 10 gyms.

If you see a level 9 or 10 gym that's your team get yourself into it. Sometime you gotta kick someone out but most high level gyms stay standing.

Those simply don't exist where I am. Too many players (still), so gyms turn over incredibly quickly. I rarely see a gym as high as level 5.

If it's level 5 then level it to 9 before you leave it.

Others on your team will come fill it.

Whenever mass evolve widgets and rattatas or have an excess of heals I go tear down an opposing teams high level gym just to fuck with em.

Wouldn't work. In the time it takes to level it up, a dozen people from other teams will have come to knock it down. The density of players is so high here, the math just favors the challengers rather than the defending team. Believe me, I've tried.

I've caught over 2,000 Pokémon now, of which only 4 were Dratini. A Dragonite spawned near me once, and I got there just a tiny bit too late. It's almost certainly going to be the last thing I get in my dex (Muk being the other possibility, strangely enough).

Currently, I am subscribed to a service which monitors the area around my university within 10 KM and reports when a significant pokemon is found.

Dragonite typically occurs a few times each week in specific locations (near the Hospital, in the local mall parking lot, right next to a set of freshman dorms) and Snorlax about twice per day.

If you camp those locations for a week you will likely find one.

Same here. Also I keep my device on pokemon as many hours as possible even if I'm sleeping. Seems like it doesn't really have a GPS but just wifi localization system so the inaccuracy means that it will walk some dozens of meters if I leave it or even a hundred of meters if I move it from one side of the house to another.

So when I'm sleeping I leave it charging with the game on energy save mode (that still devours a lot of energy by the way) so I get from a few meters to half kilometer in one night.

That's called GPS drift and it's a godsend. For whatever reason, in my room since the patch when I'm on wi-fi, I can drift up to a kilometer over 2 hours. It also sometimes lands me on a spawn point about 200 feet from my dorm and consistently gets me 2-5 pokestops.

THis device have no GPS, it can be a bless and a curse at the same time. In desolate places I'm tied to "rails" between the only wifi signals nearby, I can "walk" 200 meters by only walking 10 IRL depending on the position I'm in but on the other hand I can't reach certain spawn points no matter what. Pretty frustrating to see everybody getting a great snorlax while my avatar refuses to get to the spawn point even if I'm standing right on top of it. Also it makes certain gyms impossible to battle since my avatar refuses to stay still close enough to it.

Back from my morning Mystic extermination round. Was surprisingly many gyms with more than three mons in them, so either they're reforming or there's just one group going around with a car training gyms. Almost got five of them, but settled with four as a Valor took down one of mine last second. Being Instinct may be hard, but given how many gyms I've seen dominated by reds, Valor must suck even more.

Will probably take some time to just catch mons and rebuild my potion storage before going on the next haul, although I could just settle for less gyms. Dodging really makes a great difference, I've been a fool for ignoring that for so long and just attacking in full.

I really need mroe attackers though. Would've been nice to get one of those Vapes with Aqua Tail or Hydro Pump, but for reasons unknown I was gifted with three Pulse defenders instead. Here's hoping my next Poliwrath will deliver.

I've only seen it twice in the wild, hatched it two times. I've scanned almost the entirety of my city and while they spawn rarely at apparently random points most of my city it's just the regular urban stuff and mountain mons at the parks, which is frustrating.

Same goes with bellsprout.

Agreed. Though i met a high level azn today who didnt know about prestige building and never seen a gym higher than 7, i tore town two today alone and im only a level higher.

I guess it's easy mode in major cities to level up without trying in the sense that you wouldnt need prep work or have downtime cause u can just go out to good known spots

You see a 6000/4000 level 3 gym with 3 mons in it, you need to train by winning as many 1v1 battles as you can. Say first mon is a flareon or arcainine, select the lowest cp mon you can beat it with whose cp is at least well under the other mom's. Win this battle, bail on next mon (leave gym as soon as the 2nd battle begj s, and youll earn 501-999 prestige. Beat it with something exactly half or less, earn 1k+ ie 3 battles in this case and youll have made the level 4, opening a slot for you.

I have a rivalry like this except with an instinct guy in my town. I always take the gym in the morning/afternoon then at night he gets it back and always put a grass type, usually victreebell, and they all have solarbeam. I'm always in longer though because I actually bother to train it up. He's always on his own or with only one other person who walked by. The nice thing is there's no valorfags because of the constant competition.

It's not really worth training up a gym if you're insitinct. There's one or 2 free slots anyway usually when you take it over and even if you level it up, it'll just wait empty until someone else takes it down. It's in the outskirts of town, not many players here. It won't get filled up, especially not with instinct mons.

There's loads of people around here who have semi matching names, some of them are couples, some are families and some are dumb teenages who are part of a "clan".

And it doesn't work anymore. Legit players don't get banned no matter how many reports they get, but botters will get permabanned, I believe a single report is enough (going to test this on one of my bots in the future, but I strongly suspect it)

He probably doesn't have a VPN to run multiple bots simultaneously and getting a bot to 35 nowadays takes time.

Except that most emulators don't give off correct product info and that they travel around the town much faster than any car could, but sure they must look legit.

If they don't ban them soon I'll just quit playing, hatched 10 fucking 5km eggs today and got 1 good/useable pokemon from them.

I live near the sea, I've yet to get a good moveset on tentacruel or golduck, despite evolving about 4 of each.

Kingler isn't as shit as it seems, I use one of my 1100cp kinglers to slap about wigglytuff/clefable or lower lapras.

You don't have to beat it in one go, the gym will still downrank based on how many you did beat before losing. The only factor is how much time you have, and how many revive / potions you have.

I actually do this on purpose now in my town that used to be terrorised by a bunch of shitty botters. However it seems Niantec finally completely took them down, but their gyms were of course still up. It's a lovely sight to see my hometown slowely recovering again after their complete domination and I'm planning to help take down the last 3 which are still up. I want a level 99 Pikachu that can compete with raichu of similar level.

This VP system is fuckin dumb. Every other game uses levels and it works great. Maybe I don't like snorlax and Dragon items? It's limiting to my play style that only certain pokemon can fight.
