OoT release date -> November 1998 (english)
Red/Blue release date -> September 1998 (english)
therefore Red/Blue are the OoT

It's obvious then that majora's mask is the equivalent of johto.

WW release date -> March 2003 (english)
Ruby/Sapphire release -> March 2003 (english)

basically the only thing you need to consider are release times because the people who most like these games only do so for nostalgia reasons relate to how old they are at the time they were released. everything seems like the best thing ever if it comes out when you're 9-11ish
