Anyway, it'd be one thing if they were telling this to people just getting into competitive Pokemon, but it really does seem like they're giving hackers a pass. It could also mean that they're trying to promote team diversity considering how VCG is almost as stale as Melee when it comes to variety.

Pretty sure hacking is still illegal in their books. Genning might be fine, since that you're basically trading old pokemon over a new gen.

They're referring to the fact that everyone has their own training style.

As long as you don't make your Pokémon illegal by giving them more than max EVs, moves they cannot normally know, or change their forms to ones you cannot normally keep them in, etc., it's fine. As long as the end result can still be achieved by non-hacking ways there isn't any problem.

That's bullshit. There's literally only 1 training style in Pokémon, and that's getting good IVs, a good nature and some proper EVs spreads and movepools. That's it. They wouldn't need to put up a PSA if that was all they were referring to.

You need to realize that when people say "hacking" in the context of competitive play they don't mean Wonder Guard Sableye, they mean Pokemon that were are perfectly legal and identical to ones obtained through legitimate means but were created or altered by injecting or using PowerSaves or something.
