give it an ability that prevents the opponent from switching in bug type pokemon. if the enemy pokemon dies and the opponent has no choice but to send out a bug type pokemon then its hp is reduced to 1% before hazard damage is calculated.
Another idea is instead reducing spa and atk of all pokemon switched in while vespiquen is out that are non bug type and boosting your own bugtype atk and spa by two stages when you switch them in
