Mine took me about 1500 eggs and another shiny to get. The first was bad IV without the hidden ability, but I lucked out. Just keep at it OP.

Magearna comes with a Gold Bottle Cap, which implies that the items will be somewhat rare

I think it'll be a PP Up situation where they'll cost 50 or so BP and you can pick up a couple in the overworld

I want a wonder box. Fill a box with mons you don't want and ship them out all at once. The game handles the trades in the background through global link, you get an alert when it's done, you get a box of new mons all at once. Be a lot faster for those who mass WT.
