>>28747751Just beat the first gym. While I can't say that the gameplay is ''good'', as it's something each of us define, I can say that it's ''fun'', but the game isn't exactly hard.
First Gym uses 4 Pokemon. Now, that's where Insurgence decides to go different; Gyms aren't around types, but around ''themes''. First gym is sun theme, so while I expected him to use fire-types and sunny day, I didn't expect him to use a non-fire pokemon that is technically a flower, has access to solar beam and benefits of the sunny whether, so I guess the gyms are a bit moer balanced.
That aside, the gym wasn't hard. It was the surprise that made an impact and even at that, the pokemon availabity helped a lot. So, even though that happened, a bit before facing the gym, we have the chance to capture alola- I mean, Delta Grimer, which is a sand grimer ground-type with clorophile, meaning it gets advantage over everything sun-related and wrecks it hard.
That aside, I have to admit it was quite fun. The ''themes'' idea is quite refreshing and it was interesting to face a gym that isn't mono but still there is a meaning to the pokemon he uses, kinda like when we take up a thematic run.
However, so far the game's story hasn't been good. It's being forced and cliche, a bit cringy sometimes, but I will continue playing it because it hasn't been anything that would make me drop it onspot
