A bow transfers energy into an arrow by recurving at both ends. Its bow arm would not function in any fucking capacity, unless it detaches from its shoulder. The way its built, the majority of the force would come from the elastic string, which just makes it a glorified slingshot.
Sure, I could buy that it's stronger than it would be in real life, but since Pokemon loosely follows real world physics it would still be better off just flinging the fucking things like darts.
On top of that, it can't use its main weapon while flying. Which is about as retarded as a quadrupedal swordsman.
So no, while the design is aesthetic, it's also fucking retarded. Far from flawless.
