Even D/P had better postgame, and they were pretty pathetic too. (Granted, very few games have had good postgame, but sevii islands were definitely not good at all.)
And no, I am not a fan of gen 1. Even though I was there when Pokemon started, I stuck it out after Pokemania and gen 3 (R/S/E) ended up being my favourite even when everyone else was quitting.
And vs seeker was decent, wouldn't mind it coming back, or just allowing rebattles whenever. But it doesn't make up for shit breeding, no frontier or tower, shit postgame where the peak was basically finding the unowns, or any of the flaws the original games had that FR/LG kept.
