General team-building thread
Post teams and ask for advice. Can be both story and competative.

Going to play through Soul Silver. These are the only 2 Pokemon I'm 100% on.

I had Murkrow on my mind, otherwise I'd use Skarmory if it wasn't available so late.

So far it looks like Typhlosion, Victreebel, Quagsire, and Heracross. Thoughts?

4 is the most you can have for a team without having to grind

What does Belossom have over Victreebel or Vileplume for that matter?

Vaporeon sounds like a good option. Red Gyarados comes too late for my liking tbqh

Might use Zubat for my flybro now that you mention it.

vileplume is not poison so you don't repeat a type, you have crobat already. also it resists ground and bulkier.

you need electric or grass to get super effective moves to water. you might also consider ampharos but im not a big fan. Dragon gym and lance battles are hardest part of the game so you might consider mamoswine. Bulky and kills dragons with priority ice shard.

Most of my current HG team can get fucked by ice and I don't have anything that can deal with steel well, so I need a 6th to fill one or both of these niches.

Its nice team overall but i don't use both water and electric on my teams.

If you are gonna get lapras, use espeon. She is a beast both in game and against elite 4. Use it shadowball also. Can solo fighting, poison and ghost members easily.

Replace Psyduck. You don't need two pure Waters, and Floatzel is better than Golduck imo. Starly and Shinx are both good options. I believe you can also get Meditite near Eterna City as well.

Use cheats to get the Secret Key for Rotom and he can be your Electric + Fire/Flying/Ice/Grass/Water type coverage.
I've got a cart and I'm waiting until I get my Action Replay just so I can have the mystery gifts I've missed.

Also Bibarel is a perfect HM slave.

Thanks, I'll need it! I'm quite scared of Chuck's gym. Have all the weaknesses and no super effective attacks against fighting types, speaking of Bruno as well. My only chance is Natural gift with some rare berries that gives psychic or flying type
