The battles last nothing. The "mature" approach is still childish as hell, should I remind people this is an anime about sending animals to get hurt and pretend they are besties? The stories are extremely short, I've even read somewhere "Generations tells the story of how Blue became a League Champion", are you fucking kidding me? It's short snips of Blue battling every E4 trainer, nothing else.
The only "mature" aspect of Generation is that Pokémon no longer speak their own name, that's literally it.
The Pokémon anime first episode was much, MUCH better than the entirety of generations. At least it wasn't this pretend "I'm a mature anime" bullshit. Pic related, the moment when Pikachu gets angry and electrocutes the whole crowd is GOAT compared to Generations.
