I think Magearna is the real most forgotten one.
Not necessarily in the sense that people forget she exists (though she does seem largely forgotten in that sense as well) but I feel like people forget she's an Alola mon in the first case. Was revealed too early, I suppose.

It's not so much that she was revealed too early so much as she was revealed to late. The starters over shadowed her three months later. Usually initial reveals have a decent grace period.

She also is way too similar to Diancie. To a point where people initially thought they were connected.

Unfezant should have been a special attacker for a change. Its moveset is better suited to one and it got gimped out of Brave Bird for... Sky Attack which Gamefreak seem to think are either/or when Sky Attack is rubbish.

They've been spreading out the Route 1 reveals.
June: Grubin, Yungoos, Pikipek (official reveal)
July: Charjabug, Vikavolt
August: Gumshoos
September: Alolan Rattata, Alolan Raticate

Makes sense: Route 1 bugs typically evolve fast, Gumshoos probably evolves around level 20, Raticate is a Gumshoos counterpart but had to wait for Alolan forms to be revealed first, and Pikipek will probably fully evolve around level 30.
