Most people don't play romhacks to begin with and the people who do play like one or two out of curiosity unless it's a difficulty modification, which really are hit and miss anyways. Nobody I talk to gives a flying fuck about romhacks, fampai, and we have a competitive league at my college.
If your logic was accurate, we'd have a daily and consistently updating Uranium thread, but it really just came out, inevitably bombed, and the dust settled and people are still playing the main series games, waiting for Sun and Moon.
