I would use them after my initial single battle play through, then use doubles and have a team based around it

Inverse would be good for a second playthrough. But I'd turn Rotation on for my first run without question. With a full team, it leads to great mind games, and if you're just leveling up, it lets you give two hanger-ons full XP without having to risk them fainting.
