As someone who's seen them all, Frontier is definitely the worst. I watched the dub first, and it was atrocious in the ways you usually expect a dub to be: constantly telling retarded jokes to fill any and all silence. All the Digimon series dubs suffer from this, but in Frontier, it was the absolute worst, wall-to-wall shitty jokes. And that's not mentioning the voice acting which I didn't really like.
But then when rewatching the various series, I got to Frontier again and watched it in Japanese. No fucking wonder the dub was wall-to-wall shit, it was because the original Japanese one was like that. It was like they tried to emulate the English dubs and have way less silence, and way more dumb jokes. So when they dubbed *that*, it was amplified. The voices are better, but it's still quite annoying.
Aside from that, the series was just a kind of inferior version of the others to me. Without the main characters having Digimon, there was way less character development and character moments in general. It was even more jarring when they went the route of making the main 2 dudes the most powerful (which the first 2 season did as well) since the humans were just so outclassed and useless. And then the doubled down and added yet another evolution for the main 2 guys to further eclipse the others (even if they were part of the evolution).
I'm sure there's positives to find in Frontier, but compared to any of the other series, it's worse in every metric.
