I've also seen this concept using whatever Item raises sp. def after getting hit with a water move, but I agree that having higher attacks is better than just trying to get near-max defence.

It's not broken, it's suicide.

Bird is probably squishy as fuck, bug certainly is, and Harambe is fucking slow. You're better off using Greninja with Mat Block.

You could try using Follow Me or Rage Powder on something extremely frail, but I'm not sure if there are many of those with good abilities. Maybe Magic Guard Cleffa?

Pass will only really work when you combine it with a pokemon who can either kill itself or become threatening immediately, and has a good ability to pass.

Example

>Opponent sends out Azumarill and Passimian
>Passimian used Protect/Wide Guard/Quick Guard (movepool and situation dependent)
>Azumarill used Belly Drum!

If you attack Azumarill, Passimian gets huge power and if he has at least 100 base attack he will be M-Mawile tiers of threatening if he has a decent movepool.

If they attack Passimian and fail to take out Azu in turn 1, they deal with at least one +6 aqua jet which will OHKO almost anything that doesn't resist it.

Example II

>Opponent sends out Serperior and Passimian
>Passimian used Wide Guard/Protect/Quick Guard (movepool and situation dependent)
>Serperior used Leaf Storm

Kill Serperior, and next turn, Passimian has Contrary and if he has close combat or superpower you can send in something supportive to put up a screen for him while he starts to build boosts with STAB CC/SP. Don't kill Serperior and you have to deal with a +2 leaf storm next turn.

I'm also about 90% sure he'll get wide/quick guard because his ability is doubles oriented and they fit well with his sports theme.

There are also some other neat things you could do with explosion users, for example Drifblim can pass unburden which Passimian could use for a boost with a berry, and then if you could keep him alive could receive another ability.

Should do it with a Smeargle instead for lower attack and better support abilities under trick room. If you use a 0 speed -nature smeargle you could possibly survive with sash then spam dark voids until it dies.

Entrainment only excludes wonder guard because there's only one wonder guard user and he doesn't learn it so there is no way for him to legally pass it using entrainment, while a skill swapper could indeed steal wonderguard from Shedinja.

The transformation abilities probably just all have a flag to make sure they are never passed under any condition.

Yeah I realized that after I re-read it. I guess theoretically you could switch it out and pass again but in doubles that's retarded to depend on. Still might be useful depending on what he gets movewise, maybe some cuhrayzee endure reversal liechi berry set paired with a quick guard user.
